AMCS Subcontractor Portal is designed to automate the carrier process to support business growth and profitability.It is a shift from the laborious and manual subcontracting workflows to a fully digitalized and automated process.
From sourcing the right subcontractor to managing contracted jobs and ensuring supplier compliance is the biggest challenge.
There were various clients with whom I got a chance to interact and get direct feedback for the present portal.
Some were really frustrated as the portal was taking too much of their time to complete their daily tasks. Some of the pain points were as follows:
1. Too much navigation links
2. Tedious
3. Dispersed data on every page
4. Traditional Look & feel
The original website had navigation issues which caused a high volume in support tickets. From a technical and business perspective, the website infrastructure and design wasn’t built to scale or incorporate company efficiencies such as junk removal, skip hire. To solve all of these issues, the website was redesigned. Incorporating research as a core part of our process helped to mitigate against any potential for an increase in support tickets. In parallel, I worked with our Lead Product Manager and Engineering Manager on product strategy and exploring ways to create efficiencies in the pricing model.
